Profile of Hosahalli G Anantha
H G Anantha, was born on 25th January, 1948 in Hosahalli in a Vedic family. Father, Veda Brahma Sri Gopala Avadhani was a master in Vedas and mother Smt. Lakshmidevamma was a house wife. He had very much interest towards music from his childhood. To cope-up his interests he got a teacher Sri. H R Narayana Rao, Hosahalli. He was his teacher’s best student. From the day he started learning, till today he is learning by various modes. He strongly believes in learning. He says, ‘When man stops learning, He cannot grow up any more’. He passed Vidwath exam in 1976 conducted by Govt. of Karnataka in 1st Rank.
In the year 1981, he started his small school of music in Shimoga. He trained thousands of students, In these students more than hundreds of students passed Vidwath exam with first class and now they are training many students. To cultivate courage in the students of his school, he is conducting one programme in every month. In this programme each student will sing for about one hour. By this programme so many students are well prepared to to give concerts.
He has given more than hundreds of concerts all over Karnataka. Some of his concerts are at Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetham - Sringeri, Sri Horanadu Annapurneswari Temple - Horanadu, Karanataka Gana Kala Parishath - Bangalore, Nadasudha - Shimoga, Sri Vidya Ganapathi Seva Sangha - Shimoga, Sankethi Sangeetha Sabha - Hosahalli-Mattur, Jayanagara Ramamandir - Shimoga, Guruguha Ganasabha - Shimoga, Sri Hindu Maha Ganapathi Seva Sanhga - Rippanpete, Sri Rama Seva Samithi - Durgigudi Shimoga, Malnad Education Society - Chikmangalore, NES College - Bangalore, Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha - Surali, Sri Yagananda Saraswathi Mutt - Hariharapura. These concerts were accomplished by famous musicians like Sangeetha Vidya Sagar Sri. R R Keshavamurthy, Bangalore (Violin), Vidwan Mannargudi A Eshwaran (Mridangam).
